The FA Cup third round draw is set to take place on Monday evening, with 64 clubs eagerly waiting to discover their next opponents. All 20 Premier League teams, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham, and the 24 Championship sides are poised to enter the tournament, joining the remaining 20 clubs who triumph in their second round ties this weekend.

Manchester United, last season's winners after defeating rivals Manchester City in the final, will be looking to retain the trophy under new boss Ruben Amorim. The lowest-ranked teams still in the competition, Gainsborough Trinity, Harborough Town and Kettering Town from the seventh-tier, will be hoping to secure a high-profile tie by winning their second round matches.

For Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham it is the second chance of the season for silverware. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming draw.

When is the third round draw?

The draw for the third round of the 2024/25 FA Cup is scheduled for Monday, December 2 on the BBC. Coverage is expected to start at 7pm and finish at 7.30pm and will be presented by Kelly Sommers.

Will it be on TV?

Yes, the FA Cup draw will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC Two.

It can also be streamed live and free of charge online via the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer, as well as across all Emirates FA Cup social media channels.

When are the third round matches scheduled?

The FA Cup third round is set to kick off on the weekend of Saturday, January 11, 2025. Matches are anticipated to be spread across the dates of January 10/11/12/13, 2025.

Clubs victorious in the third round will pocket a cool £115,000 from the competition's prize fund.
