Will Bukayo Saka play for Arsenal vs Fulham? Injury news latest amid FPL worry
by James Quinlan · football.londonArsenal will be hoping to welcome Bukayo Saka back into their starting XI for the first time in four months when they host Fulham in Tuesday night Premier League action.
In a matter of years, the Englishman has progressed from prodigy to talismanic figure for the Gunners, so when he picked up a hamstring problem against Crystal Palace on December 21, 2024, that would require surgery, it was a devastating blow for his side.
Saka has been forced to watch from the sidelines as his side have slipped to a 12-point deficit behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
However, Arsenal feel confident the problem has been handled with the utmost care with nine more rounds of English top-flight action to go. Saka could therefore stand in line to make an immediate impact upon his return.
So, football.london takes a look at whether the attacker will be able to take part in this critical clash.
What has been said about Saka's injury?
Throughout his absence Mikel Arteta has faced questions about the progress of Saka. Finally, coming out of the March international break, he was able to share some properly positive news.
Speaking at his pre-Fulham press conference on Monday, the boss explained: "Bukayo is ready to go.
"The careful thing is already done. So now it's about putting him in the grass in the right moments. But he's pushing because he really wants it. We have respected the time frame, we have done everything and we have to hold him back even. So he's ready to go."
And asked specifically if the 23-year-old is capable of starting, Arteta simply replied: "Yeah."
Will Saka be fit to face Fulham in FPL Gameweek 30?
Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has passed Saka 100 percent fit for Fulham's visit to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
This is great news for the 10.7 percent of FPL players who own him in their teams at the time of writing, making him the eighth-most included midfielder on the game. 276,025 players have elected to transfer him in this week so far.
Saka's price dropped and was frozen at £10.2m since his injury first came about, making him the third-most expensive midfield option behind Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer.
Prior to his injury the Gunners' No.7 accumulated 107 in-game points with five goals scored and 10 assists recorded.
