Latest PSG injury news as new Ousmane Dembele update emerges before Arsenal Champions League tie
by Kieran Horn · football.londonParis Saint-Germain could have Ousmane Dembele fit for their Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal at the Parc Des Princes on Wednesday.
Luis Enrique had the entirety of his squad available for the 1-0 victory at Emirates Stadium last week, but in the last six days, four injury doubts emerged. The first of those arrived during the first leg win as Dembele was taken off with a potential hamstring problem.
It was later revealed that Presnel Kimpembe was also dealing with an issue and a club statement then ruled both out of the Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg on Saturday.
"Victim of bone edema in the 2nd metatarsal of his [Kimpembe's] right foot, will remain at rest for the next few weeks," their medical update read. "Ousmane Dembele has strained his right hamstring. His condition is progressing well. A further assessment will be carried out shortly."
With a near-fully rotated starting XI deployed away at Strasbourg, PSG were beaten by Chelsea's sister-club and though Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves and Desire Doue were the only starters from the Arsenal game that featured, two potentially huge fitness blows were suffered.

At half-time, both Lucas Hernandez and Lee Kang-in were substituted with the latter's potential issue seeming more serious.
According to RMC Sport, he was finding it difficult to run after a strong challenge and now a new update on his fitness has come to light.
After picking up the injury on Saturday, he missed training on Sunday and is expected to also be absent for Monday's session with PSG staff set to monitor his condition. This has seen him become a huge doubt to play.
While his potential absence is far from ideal for PSG, they have received some very good news on Dembele's physical state with L’Equipe reporting he is ‘most likely fit’ to face Arsenal and that his chances of returning are ‘looking increasingly high’.
In north London meanwhile, Jurrien Timber was absent from the matchday squad against Bournemouth with Arteta's update post-match far from promising.
Asked if he was confident of the Dutchmen returning against PSG, the Arsenal boss said: "At the moment, no because he wasn't able to play here and we play in four days." football.london understands the issue was picked up in the first leg but is not thought to be serious.
Elsewhere, one of Riccardo Calafiori, Jorginho or even Kai Havertz could return for the clash in Paris with Arteta refusing to rule all of them out last Friday. Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Magalhaes will definitely miss the knockout tie, however.
