Arsenal return to Champions League action this evening as they host Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will be looking to secure a victory in their seventh league phase fixture of the competition and move a step closer to securing qualification for the knockout stages. Arsenal are currently fifth in the standings with 13 points from their first six matches.

Mikel Arteta's side can move up to third place with a win over Zagreb on Wednesday night, and would only be behind Liverpool and Barcelona in the standings. A victory would see Arsenal move closer to booking a spot in the top eight, which would mean skipping the play-off round and going straight through to the last-16.

Arsenal will be without some key players in their squad when they take on Zagreb. Arteta has been forced to deal with several injury concerns throughout the season, and that is set to continue at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

Bukayo Saka, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu all remain sidelined with injury. Arteta was asked about Saliba's fitness in his pre-match press conference, with the centre-back absent from the draw with Aston Villa at the weekend due to a hamstring injury.

"I think he's [Saliba] evolving well," said Arteta on Tuesday. "The last few days, he was feeling much better already, but this game comes a little bit too early for him."

Arteta also confirmed that Ethan Nwaneri and Riccardo Calafiori will return to the matchday squad after their spells on the sidelines. Nwaneri has been recovering from a muscle injury since earlier this month, while Calafiori has missed the last three matches with a fitness issue.

"Very positive news," said Arteta. "We missed them for a few weeks and they returned today for training and they'll be available for the game."

Here, football.london takes a look at Arsenal squad expected to be available to face Dinamo Zagreb, barring any late fitness concerns.
