Gary Neville delivers early PSG vs Arsenal Champions League prediction amid Mikel Arteta worry
by Lee Wilmot · football.londonGary Neville believes Mikel Arteta will be worried going into the Champions League semi-final second leg with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, but thinks Arsenal are in with a shout of overturning their Emirates Stadium deficit and reaching the final in Munich.
The Gunners did not get the best preparation for the second leg clash in the Parc des Princes, losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
PSG lost themselves, although manager Luis Enrique made 10 changes to his starting lineup for the game with Strasbourg. Arteta, however, named a strong side for the clash with the Cherries.
Arsenal are a goal behind heading into the second leg after Ousmane Dembele's early strike secured the advantage for the Parisiens.
The Gunners had a chances of their own, but could have found themselves more than one goal behind as Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos both missed big opportunities late on in north London.
Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast after Chelsea's win over Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, the former Manchester United star gave his thoughts on Wednesday's clash.
He said: "I think the worry for Arsenal yesterday was that they played their strongest side and still lost, which will be a worry.
"But they've got a big game in midweek, I genuinely think Arsenal can do it, I think they can go to Paris Saint-Germain and do it.
"You can go there, they get quite nervous in that stadium, there's such an expectation, they build themselves up, it will be a hostile atmosphere for the first 10, 15, 20 minutes and if PSG score it will continue to be hostile because they'll be right at it.
"However, if you can get a goal and I think Arsenal definitely can, whether it be from a set-piece, a counter attack or a bit of brilliance, you can see and feel it changing in that stadium. I think they're in with a shout in midweek."
