Mikel Arteta has give the latest update on his squad ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg vs Chelsea.

Arsenal don't have long to enjoy their progress to the FA Cup fourth round with more cup action on the agenda this week.

The Gunners came out as 4-1 winners over Championship Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon. They have been drawn against League One Wigan Athletic in the fourth round.

Their eyes will now turn to the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The team will be hoping to take an advantage into the second leg which takes place next month.

Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta has some injury concerns with players missing out on the squad for the FA Cup clash. The Arsenal boss has now given the latest update in his pre-match press conference.

With that in mind, here's a look at the latest from the treatment room at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta has revealed that the full-back is nursing a muscle injury, having missed the last five games in all competitions.
"He's progressing, but I don't know [when he'll return]," he said. "It might be a few weeks, but we don't know exactly when."(Image: David Price/Arsenal FC via Getty Images)

Piero Hincapie

The defender was forced off in the second half of the draw with Liverpool. But Arteta has not given too much away about his condition.
