Eberechi Eze to Arsenal transfer path opens as contact made for move in major update

Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga have all been added to Mikel Arteta's squad, but now sales have become the priority to help fund further incomings.
Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze could be a potential replacement for the Gunners, although he has been linked with a move to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in recent days.
There are rumours that some players may be heading for the exit door at the Emirates Stadium to help fund a potential new winger, though, with Trossard's future becoming the subject of speculation.
Trossard has been linked with a move away from Arsenal throughout the summer, and his departure could open up Arsenal's pathway to sealing a deal for Eze as his replacement.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.

It has been reported by Indykaila, previously credited by The Athletic's David Ornstein with breaking the story of Manchester United's interest in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, that Aston Villa have joined the race to try and sign Trossard this summer.
The report claims that Villa have 'made contact' the Gunners over the possibility of signing the Belgium international before the transfer window closes with 'early stage enquirers' having been made.
It remains to be seen what happens with Trossard's future, with the Gunners being linked with further forward reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
Trossard is contracted at Arsenal until the summer of 2027 and there have been reports this summer of a potential extension being on the cards.
However, the 30-year-old is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal which is leading to speculation that a move away from the Gunners could happen this summer.
Real Madrid star Rodrygo has also been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
Reports in recent days have also linked Manchester City with a move for the Brazilian, who can play in the same position as Trossard on the left wing and could be an alternative should Eze go to Tottenham - should the Gunners be able to beat City to his signature.
