FAI confirms no Ireland tickets for Israel games

The FAI have confirmed that there will be no tickets sold to Republic of Ireland supporters for autumn's UEFA Nations League fixtures with Israel.

In June the FAI confirmed that the Ireland's home Nations League game against Israel would not be played in Ireland and would instead take place behind closed doors in Backa Topola, Serbia on Sunday 4 October.

The away fixture against the Israelis takes place before this on the 27 September at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen, Hungary.

The FAI have now confirmed that their nominal home game will be played behind closed doors while Israel will sell some tickets to their own supporters for the September encounter, with Irish fans absent.

A statement from the organisation read: "The Football Association of Ireland confirms that it will not facilitate in-stadium access to Ireland supporters for either of its 2026-27 UEFA Nations League fixtures with Israel.

"The Association appreciates the passion and commitment that Ireland supporters always show when following its teams around the world, but operational challenges and safety and security concerns led to this decision being made.

"The Israel Football Association have confirmed that a small allocation of its own supporters will be accommodated for their home game in Debrecen, Hungary on Sunday, 27 September.

" The second game in Group B3 between the teams will take place in Bačka Topola, Serbia on Sunday, 4 October. This will be played behind closed doors."
