The allure and risk of John Harbaugh for the Giants
· New York PostIf John Harbaugh takes another head coaching job in the NFL, he’ll bring the most wins with him (180 with Baltimore) to his second stop of any coach since Curly Lambeau and his 209 victories went from Green Bay to the Chicago Cardinals in 1950.
Harbaugh no doubt immediately moved to the top of several teams’ wish lists when his time with the Ravens came to a somewhat unexpected end after 18 seasons on Tuesday.
For the Giants, the 63-year-old would be a solid choice, especially for general manager Joe Schoen, who must know he’s on thin ice, given the team’s miserable performance over the past three seasons.
And perhaps that should be the main goal for the front office and ownership: Get someone on the sideline who can clean up this mess and at least give the Giants a fighting chance.
