Heroes, zeros from Giants’ win over the Cardinals: Jacoby Brissett faded when it mattered
· New York PostHeroes, zeros and the full blitz from the Giants’ 36-24 win over the Cardinals on Sunday:
Hero
Deonte Banks produced the first pick-6 of his career to seal the Giants’ third win in four games to start the season. The young cornerback picked off Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett at the 2-yard line and returned it 98 yards for the clinching touchdown as time expired. It came only four plays after he was whistled for a questionable pass interference call that gave Arizona the ball at the Giants 4-yard line.
Zero
Jacoby Brissett started hot, but he faded as the afternoon went on. He threw three interceptions, including one right to Banks on the final play of the game. In the second half, the veteran threw for only 90 yards and was 11-for-20 passing.
Unsung Hero
Malik Nabers busted out, catching six passes for 112 yards and his first touchdown of the season. His 25-yard scoring grab was the first time he found the end zone in over a year, since Sept. 14 of last season. Nabers suffered a torn ACL on Sept. 28, 2025.
