Shedeur Sanders has custom draft room built ahead of 2025 NFL Draft as rumors swirl on possible slide

· New York Post

It looks like Shedeur Sanders is getting fancy for this year’s draft.

Rather than attending the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wis., Sanders, 23, will hear his name called from a custom-made draft room alongside his family and close friends.

Sanders’ alma mater, Colorado, unveiled the luxurious room on X just hours before the draft Thursday.

The space features floor-to-ceiling shelving with hats of each NFL team, marked with Sanders’ signature logo displayed on top.

The photo provided by the school showed 20 caps, including each of the first seven teams selecting.

In the video provided by the Buffaloes, the room is draped in Sanders’ “legendary” tag, along with multiple wide-screen projectors and couches.

It appears that the 2024 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year will be sitting in a smaller, makeshift room to watch the event.

Despite the posh setup, some believe that there is a chance that Sanders will not hear his name called Thursday.

CBS Sports’ Johnathan Jones believes there’s a “very good chance” Sanders slips to the second round.

“He very well may not be a first-round quarterback,” Jones said on Wednesday. “He may not be the second quarterback that is selected. More teams than not that I speak to tell me that they have a second-round grade on Shedeur Sanders.

“Why? He has an average relatively arm, he has average relatively athleticism … you compare it to your dad [Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders] or other fantastic quarterbacks in this draft, it’s average … Now, break it down and see where those throws are behind the line of scrimmage and you have the Heisman Trophy winner (Travis Hunter) that you were throwing to that kind of helps things out.

“I think that there’s a very good chance that (Sanders) is not selected on Thursday night.”
