France v Argentina: Kick-off time, TV channel and team news

by · Wales Online

France host Argentina in Paris in the final game of the autumn campaign for both teams.

The two rugby nations met during the summer, when France toured South America. During that tour, Fabien Galthie opted to bleed through new talent, handing out game time to inexperienced players.

However, things are very different this autumn. France aren't quite full strength, but they have been bolstered by the return of the talismanic Antoine Dupont, who earned a gold medal with the Sevens team during the summer.

Despite this, Los Pumas are also going from strength to strength. They enjoyed their best-ever Rugby Championship campaign, thanks to the leadership of Felipe Contepomi, beating New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.

This promises to be an epic clash.

Here's everything you need to know about the match.

What have the coaches said?

France head coach Fabien Galthie:"It's not a gift to make us play six days after the All Blacks. Against these teams, we need a week to recover but we knew that before. That's why there are rotations and why this group is moving around a little bit."

"The Pumas have beaten every team in the world, many of their players play in France. They perform extremely well. They are finishing their six-month season. They are disappointed with the result in Ireland. It is very intelligent rugby and a very, very difficult team to play. It is one of the best in the world."

Argentina head coach Felipe Contepomi on selecting a new scrum-half: "He has been good when he's come on," Contepomi said of Gonzalo Garcia.

"He is training very well and we believe that it is a good opportunity for him to start a match."
