Ronnie O'Sullivan's bizarre behaviour as he kicks table and 'throws cue in bin'

Ronnie O'Sullivan ended up losing his head at the Snooker Championship League - whacking his cue on the table, kicking out at it and having an unusual reaction after missing a shot.

The English snooker legend has since withdrawn from the tournament after getting frustrated on multiple occasions. O'Sullivan lost to Robert Milkins on Thursday, January 9, his fourth loss in five matches.

Leading his opponent 51-0, O'Sullivan missed a fairly simple shot on the blue, allowing Milkins to win the frame. The snooker legend then responded by spreading his legs, sticking his tongue out and placing the cue between his legs in a bizarre moment.

He missed another simple shot on the pink and smacked the cue on the table in frustration. He apologised to his opponent and referee shortly afterwards. He would whack the table again later in the match after potting the cue ball. You can watch that moment below.

Playing against Welshman Jak Jones yesterday, he could be heard uttering the word "useless" when he lost control of the game, kicking towards the table before slouching in his chair.

The Matchroom commentator said: "It's all happening here in Leicester. He certainly imploded during that opening game, Ronnie. He was absolutely furious with nothing but himself, just the way he was playing, things weren't going right.

"Robert Milkins getting the win in the end. Ronnie O'Sullivan, having a lash-up at times, just smashing the ball. He clearly didn't want to be here and he's taken the decision to withdraw."

Upon his withdrawal from the competition, O'Sullivan allegedly left his cue in the bin in the players' lounge, which was later retrieved by his manager. He has not been on great form recently, with the end of 2024 being a tough period for the seven-time world champion.
