Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk both suspended from boxing after rematch

The Gypsy King set the pace in the early rounds with an intense, attacking approach but was met by a stubborn defence from the Ukrainian. Fury tasted disappointment for the first time in May with the reigning champion almost finishing the Englishman in the middle rounds, which Fury picked upon in the pre-fight build up.
However, the defending champion found his groove as the rounds wore on, wrestling momentum from the challenger. Usyk found joy with his left hand, catching the challenger but never managed to rock the Gypsy King.

Fury pushed in the final round, unleashing some thumping combinations but they were weathered by Usyk, who was looking to maintain his unbeaten record.
It once again went to the distance and it was ruled in favour of the champion, ensuring that he moved 2-0 in their rivalry.
After the fight, they will be ordered to rest for a minimum of seven days. The board requires both fighters to rest for three days for every round fought.
This means because the fight went the full eight rounds, they will have to rest for a minimum of 24 days. After the fight, Fury and Fury will be assessed by medical professionals to ensure they have not suffered any serious injuries.
If one of the fighters lost by technical knockout - when the referee decides a fighter cannot safely continue the match for any reason - the defeated boxer will be ordered to rest for a minimum of 30 days.
When a fighter is knocked to the ground and cannot get back to their feet before the count of 10 - they will have to sit out for at least 60 days.
