After a break for the FA Cup third round, Liverpool will resume their Premier League campaign against Burnley this weekend. Arne Slot's team go into the game in fourth place in the league table but just three points ahead of Manchester United in seventh.
Slot's men are coming off the back of a 4-1 cup win over Barnsley, while they are unbeaten in their last nine league matches. Opponents Burnley are stuck at the other end of the table, sitting eight points from safety in 19th place, though they beat Millwall 5-1 in the cup last time out.
Liverpool came out on top when the teams met at Turf Moor back in September. Burnley were reduced to 10 men after Lesley Ugochukwu saw red for two bookings, and Mohamed Salah won it for the Reds with a stoppage-time penalty.
It was the sixth time in a row that Liverpool have beaten Burnley in a Premier League encounter, with the Clarets scoring just once across those fixtures. Burnley last beat Liverpool in January 2021 when Ashley Barnes scored the only goal of the game at Anfield.
The reverse fixture was broadcast live on Sky Sports, as was Liverpool's last Premier League match against league leaders Arsenal. Here is everything you need to know ahead of Liverpool vs Burnley.
