Viktor Gyokeres is said to have his heart set on a trio of Premier League clubs, as he is heavily linked with a move from Sporting Clube de Portugal come the summer. However, a reunion with former coach Ruben Amorim at Manchester United isn't one of them, as per reports from Portugal.
The former Coventry City forward could be available for less than his hefty €100million (£84m) release clause. Rumours about a gentlemen's agreement exists, indicating he could be snapped up for around €70m (£59m).
Portuguese newspaper A Bola, has disclosed that Gyokeres' preferred moves in England would be Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City. Besides angling for Premier League action, the 26-year-old striker also supposedly has eyes for European giants like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Notably, football insider Fabrizio Romano weighed in on the matter over the weekend. "The package that Sporting could accept, could be around €65m to €75m," he said on his YouTube channel.
"That's a very good price for one of the best strikers in Europe in terms of numbers. All the top clubs in Europe are going very strong for Gyokeres in the summer. I've been informed this price could be enough to land him. Many clubs are exploring the situation and are ready to present their project to Viktor Gyokeres."
Sporting see it as 'inevitable' that Gyokeres will leave the club this summer, despite his contract running until 2028. This stance comes after the club withstood attempts from suitors during the winter.
Previous reports have put Liverpool as one of the interested clubs in the Swedish's services. Darwin Nunez faces an uncertain future at Anfield, having been underwhelming under Arne Slot this term.
The Uruguayan, who has only started eight Premier League games so far, could look for regular game time elsewhere. Argentinian journalist Juan Manuel has claimed he 'isn't short of offers' should he decide to leave.
