Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is reportedly ready to push the board for one more major attacking signing in January, a move he believes could turn the Blues into genuine Premier League title contenders.
Chelsea currently sit third in the Premier League table, six points behind league leaders Arsenal.
The 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge was an encouraging results, on the back of another outstanding 3-0 win against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The recent results has encouraged the Italian boss to make a bold move in the January transfer window.
According to a reliable insider, Enzo Maresca feels that a single world-class forward could be the catalyst to elevate the squad to elite level.

The latest update comes from the renowned transfer insider, who claims Maresca will present a direct message to the hierarchy: Chelsea need a ‘elite attacker’ who can make an instant impact.
Maresca views his current squad as high potential but incomplete, and believes one marquee arrival is the final piece of the puzzle that could:
- Transform the Blues into real title challengers against Arsenal
- Push Chelsea deep into the Champions League knockout rounds
- Add crucial firepower to finish chances more consistently

Chelsea are linked with Harvey Barnes
It has been reported by a Spanish outlet that the Blues have eyes set on Newcastle star Harvey Barnes.
In fact, as per the report, Chelsea have even made an offer worth £53m for the Magpies attacker.
It is said that Chelsea see Barnes as the perfect long-term signing to a team full of exciting youngsters.
It was reported last year that Newcastle are willing to sell Barnes.
However, recent reports suggest that the club will not be keen on selling Barnes unless a more attractive offer is made which makes it hard for them to turn down.
