Tottenham submit blockbuster offer to sign Savinho

Tottenham have tabled an £85 million offer as they look to finalise the signing of Manchester City winger Savinho.
Tottenham have a long-standing interest in Savinho and have been working on a potential transfer for months. After failing to strike a deal during the winter window, the North London club revived their interest in the summer and have been working hard to secure his services ever since.
City playing hardball in Savinho transfer saga
According to Globo Esporte via SportWitness, Spurs have submitted an £85 million bid to sign the Brazilian international. While their offer has reached the figure Manchester City wanted at the beginning of negotiations, Enzo Maresca’s team still haven’t given the green light to the move.
The Premier League giants are playing hardball, and it hasn’t pleased the 22-year-old Brazilian, who only had a rotational role in the team last season. While he was involved in 36 games (only 14 starts), he racked up just over 1,500 minutes.
Savinho continues to push for an exit
Savinho is unlikely to have a prominent role at City, while Spurs are more than willing to make him a focal point in their attack. Robert De Zerbi seeks more quality on the flanks and believes the Brazilian could have an immediate impact.
He didn’t train with the first team on Thursday, as he continues to push for an exit. Both Spurs and the player are hoping City will eventually give the green light to the move. While the standoff is likely to continue for the next few days, it won’t be dragged to deadline day.
The North London club have done their part by putting a substantial offer on the table. The decision now rests with City, who must determine whether the proposal is enough.
