USA set to host 2031 Women's World Cup soccer

April 3 (UPI) -- The United States will host the 2031 Women's World Cup, as the lone bidder for the tournament, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said Thursday at the UEFA Congress in Belgrade.

The United Kingdom also is on track to host the tournament in 2035. That joint bid from Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales was the only valid one made for that edition of the tournament.
