The final fixtures of the new-fangled Champions League league group phase are to be played on Wednesday night with all 36 teams taking part in a bumper conclusion.

Liverpool are the only side to book a spot in the last 16 so far with their perfect record - picking up seven wins in as many outings. The top eight ranked teams after the final whistle will be fast-tracked into the round of 16 with ninth place to 24th set to enter an extra knockout play-off round to be played in February.

Arsenal sit in third heading into the last round of fixtures, on 16 points, as mathematically close to securing a spot in the top eight as possible while fellow Premier League representatives Aston Villa occupy the first spot outside automatic qualification, in ninth, and Manchester City languish in 25th set to crash out of the competition as things stand.

Liverpool travel to PSV looking to maintain their perfect record as Arsenal visit Spanish side Girona, Villa host Celtic and City entertain Club Brugge in their must-win tie.

Currently, these are the clubs who currently reside inside the top eight:

Liverpool - 21 points

Barcelona - 18 points

Arsenal - 16 points

Inter Milan - 16 points

Atletico Madrid - 15 points

AC Milan - 15 points

Atalanta - 14 points

Bayer Leverkusen - 13 points

These are the clubs who are currently placed between ninth and 24th:

Aston Villa - 13 points

Monaco - 13 points

Feyenoord - 13 points

Lille - 13 points

Brest - 13 points

Borussia Dortmund - 12 points

Bayern Munich - 12 points

Real Madrid - 12 points

Juventus - 12 points

Celtic - 12 points

PSV - 11 points

Club Brugge - 11 points

Benfica - 10 points

PSG - 10 points

Sporting - 10 points

Stuttgart - 10 points

A spectacle is expected in Europe's premier contest as continental heavyweights such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG battle to avoid an extra fixture in the play-off and advance straight into the last 16.

All 18 Matchday eight fixtures will kick off at the same time and you can watch each game live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
