Kotoko extend unbeaten start under Tinkler
by KickOff Reporter · KickOffEric Tinkler's Asante Kotoko maintained their unbeaten start to the Ghanaian Premier League with a 1-1 draw against Samartex on Sunday evening.
Kotoko were keen to make it back-to-back wins and jumped to the top of the table ahead of fierce rivals Hearts of Oak with South African-born Eric Tinkler settling in nicely.

Tinkler's charges almost made the perfect start with a flying header in the box by Asiedu but he went over the top.
Kotoko continued to pile on the pressure but struggled to get a look in but there was goals that followed in the second half despite a late miraculous effort from Boadou in yeh first period.
Walid Fuseini came on at the start of the second half for the Ghanaian giants and replaced Isaac Opoku as Tinkler went out chasing the victory to continue their winning start.

It didn’t go to plan for Tinkler though as his team went down late in the second half through a penalty and needed to dig deep to stage a comeback.
However, Kotoko replied within the final minutes to halftime as striker Mamah rose highest to head in the top corner and give Tinkler a point from the jaws of defeat.
