Wales finally break Six Nations losing streak with victory over Italy

Wales finally broke their Six Nations losing streak as they defeated Italy 31-17 in their final clash of this year’s championship on Saturday evening.

The Welsh went 15 matches without a victory in the competition up until their clinical win in Cardiff.

They opened the scoring through Aaron Wainwright, and the No 8 added another soon after before Dewi Lake crashed over for the home side.

Dan Edwards converted all three tries for Wales to lead 21-0 at half-time.

Wales added another try in the second half through Edwards, who also slotted a drop goal.

Italy scored through Tommaso Di Bartolomeo, Tommaso Allan, Leonardo Marin, and Paolo Garbisi, but Wales had done enough in the first half to halt their losing run.
