Stormers hooker JJ Kotze could receive a three-match ban following his 20-minute red card in the Champions Cup clash against Bristol Bears on Saturday.

Kotze was given a 20-min red card for head-on-head contact while tackling Bristol scrum-half Kieran Marmion.

After reviewing the footage and considering submissions from the officials and player, a foul play review committee recommended that Kotze receive a three-week ban under World Rugby Law 9.13, which covers dangerous tackles.

The Stormers, however, have appealed the decision, and the case will be heard on Wednesday.
