Ex-Chiefs captain rewarded with new deal abroad

Maart joined the Austrian side in July 2025 after leaving the Glamour Boys and has been a consistent performer since making the move to Europe.

The South African star has gradually established himself as an important member of the squad, with his experience and performances earning him the trust of the technical team.
His displays have now been rewarded with a fresh contract as Ried continue to show their faith in the midfielder and his ability to contribute to the team.
SV Ried confirm extension
SV Ried have confirmed that Maart will remain with the club until 2028.
"Yusuf Maart and Jussef Nasrawe, both players for SV Oberbank Ried, have extended their contracts until 2028," the club stated.
"Yusuf Maart, who has six caps for the South African national team, joined the club from South African first division side Kaizer Chiefs in July 2025."
Another step in Europe
The new agreement represents another positive step in Maart's European journey after he left South Africa to take on a new challenge.

The ex-Sekhukhune United star brought valuable experience to Ried following his time in the Premier Soccer League and has continued to build his reputation since arriving in Austria.
With his future now secured, Maart will be looking to maintain his consistency and play an important role for Ried over the coming seasons.
