Seattle Reign look to get back on track against Boston

The Reign need to bounce back after losing their past two road matches. They were outscored 5-2 combined by Angel City FC and expansion side Denver.

The Reign enter the weekend one point below the playoff line due to the back-to-back road losses. The team has five matches left in the regular season — three at home — to get back into the postseason picture. Another successful run could catapult the Reign as high as sixth in the standings. Returning to Lumen should help. The Reign are unbeaten in their past six matches on their turf.

Back again

First-choice starter Ainsley McCammon and reserve Emeri Adames returned to Reign training after international duty with U.S. U-20 team. They played extensive minutes in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The Americans advanced to the Round of 16 and McCammon scored an equalizer to force a penalty shootout. Adames missed her shot from the spot and the U.S. lost 5-4 on PKs to Brazil last week. McCammon scored two goals overall in the tournament.
