Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has decided to bring down the curtains on his international career on Friday, January 10. Tamim had initially decided to retire from international cricket in 2023.

Tamim Iqbal last played international cricket for Bangladesh in 2023 and was snubbed from 2023 World Cup.

'Been thinking about this (retirement) for a long time. Now that there is a big seat ahead like the Champions Trophy, I don't want me to be discussed again and the team's attention disrupted,' Tamim Iqbal said in his Instagram post.
