North Down Cricket Club had been due to host the event, with a number of local groups involved, on Friday but said following comment on social media the "spirit of the camp was at risk of being lost"

The local Orange lodge said that it was concerned about the ‘proposed or perceived’ move of the GAA into the community.

The event was due to be held at North Down Cricket Club and Cricket Ireland has since said it is ‘dismayed and disappointed’.
