The Athletics Federation of India named India's 32-member Commonwealth Games squad on Sunday, June 14. Headlined by sprinters Gurindervir Singh and Animesh Kujur, the squad also includes Neeraj Chopra, who is currently recovering from his back injury.

Javelin powerhouse India were at a real risk of missing out on the Commonwealth Games with Neeraj Chopra continuing to recover from his back injury. However, on June 13, two other Indian stars cleared the CWG qualification mark in the final event before selections were set to be finalised.
