Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2 Released, Is 62GB, Packs Over 1000 Fixes
by John Papadopoulos · DSOGamingWarhorse Studios has released the highly anticipated Title Update 1.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This patch has over 1000 fixes, tweaks and changes, and it is around 62GB in size on PC.
Going into more details, Patch 1.2 polishes physics for all the bridles and chanfrons and improves lipsync across the game. It also improves physics of the parsnip, as well as physics simulation quality of scabbards. Moreover, it fixes some issues that caused dead NPCs to sometimes T-pose after loading, as well as issues in the mash-eating NPC behavior related to save/load.
It’s also worth noting that Title Update 1.2 adds support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 Super Resolution. However, there is no word on when – and if – we’ll get support for DLSS 4 MFG. Plus, this latest patch improves SVOTI recalculation at camera dialogue switches. It also fixes screen flicker during certain situations, as well as various visual pop-in after you restart or load the game.
And the fixes don’t stop here. Patch 1.2 fixes issues related to rare shader combinations. Objects will no longer cast wrong shadows. Plus, you won’t be getting any flickering of distant objects due to their LoDs. Character and vegetation detail will no longer be inconsistent when changing advanced graphical settings. Furthermore, you will no longer get broken vegetation and rain animations during long playthroughs.
Regarding performance, the devs have optimized Kuttenberg marketplaces for better performance. Moreover, they improved the frame rate stability in battle parts of quests. Players can also expect improved streaming of NPC visuals, as well as improved level switch duration by over 15 seconds on average. Plus, the devs limited the number of torches drawn by NPCs in large skirmishes to improve performance.
As said, Warhorse has included over 1000 fixes, tweaks and changes. So, I won’t be listing them below. Most of you won’t even bother reading them. So, why flood this article with a wall of text?
Finally, I don’t know whether this update breaks compatibility with the mods we’ve shared. So, make sure to disable them before running the patched version. Otherwise, you might encounter crashes and stability issues.
Like always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. If you are interested in the full patch notes, you can find them here.
