Cunard’s Queen Anne Sets Sail for the Greek Islands on 19-Night Mediterranean Cruise

Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne, has departed Southampton on a 19-night Mediterranean voyage featuring several major Greek destinations, including Santorini, Heraklion, Katakolon, Mykonos and Piraeus.

The cruise departed the United Kingdom on September 20 and is taking passengers to eight destinations across Southern Europe, with stops in Spain, Italy and Greece.

Among the highlights are visits to the Greek islands of Santorini, Mykonos and Crete, alongside calls at Heraklion, Katakolon and Piraeus.

The itinerary also includes stops in Cadiz and Gibraltar in Spain, as well as Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy, before Queen Anne returns to Southampton.

The 19-night voyage was available to passengers as a full cruise or through selected shorter segments, giving travellers several opportunities to explore the Mediterranean.

Queen Anne prepares for South America

Following its Mediterranean programme, Queen Anne will continue sailing from Southampton through the end of 2026, with itineraries covering Northern Europe, the Canary Islands and Scandinavia.

The ship is also scheduled to embark on one of Cunard’s longest voyages of 2027, an 82-night roundtrip journey from Southampton around South America.

The voyage will combine destinations across South America, North America, the Caribbean and the Atlantic, with overnight calls planned in several major ports.

The itinerary includes Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and San Antonio, along with destinations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Panama.

Queen Anne will also return to Santos, Brazil, marking Cunard’s first visit to the port in around three decades. The stop will give passengers the opportunity to explore São Paulo, Brazil’s largest city.

The South American voyage will also include visits to Florida, with calls at Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral during the journey.

Cunard’s newest ship

Queen Anne entered service with Cunard in May 2024 after being built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri at its Marghera shipyard.

The ship is the newest addition to Cunard’s fleet and has expanded the company’s range of voyages from its Southampton base.

Its Mediterranean itinerary places several of Greece’s most popular cruise destinations at the centre of a major international voyage, highlighting the continued importance of Greek ports to the region’s cruise industry.
