  • The Samsung Galaxy S26 is tipped to launch on February 25
  • There will most likely be three main models in the series
  • It also looks as though the Samsung tri-fold launch is close

We're expecting quite a few high-end Samsung Galaxy phones over the coming weeks and months, and two fresh leaks have offered some pointers over when we might see the Galaxy S26 series and the tri-fold foldable that Samsung has been working on.

First up, the Samsung Galaxy S26 phones. We think there will be three models this year (a standard, a Plus, an Ultra), with the possibility of a fourth model to succeed the Galaxy S25 Edge – which may end up being even thinner.

Now there's a report from South Korean outlet Money Today (via @Jukanlosreve) stating that some or all of these Galaxy S26 handsets will be unveiled on Wednesday, February 25, with an event to be held in San Francisco in the US.

That's later in the year than the Galaxy S25 launch, which happened on January 22, and that tracks with previous rumors of delays. The report also repeats an earlier rumor that the standard, Plus, and Ultra models will all use Samsung's own Exynos chips.

Then we have Samsung's tri-fold, which was first teased at the launch of the Galaxy S25 back in January, and seems likely to arrive before the end of the year – Samsung's first phone with two hinges rather than one.

The team at SamMobile has spotted that the phone has now been through the necessary regulatory steps to be recognized as a device with Bluetooth capabilities, which is a step that usually means a piece of hardware is about to be launched.

As per sources speaking to SamMobile, the tri-fold is going to be made available in the US, China, South Korea, and the UAE to begin with. It may then be sold in additional countries sometime in 2026, but that's far from certain at the moment.
