HUAWEI Mate 70 Air release - 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, 6500mAh battery and more from ~RM2465

If you are a huge HUAWEI fan, this news might excite you. Recently, the HUAWEI Mate 70 Air was launched in China. So, what should you know about it?

A solid device for the modern era

For your information, it's a slim device that packs a 6500 mAh battery, a 7-inch OLED 120Hz screen, with a choice of Kirin 9020B or Kirin 9020A processors. It also runs up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

The main camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front, a 10.7MP camera is used for selfies. The giant 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 66W charging. The operating system used is HarmonyOS 5.1.

Among the interesting features included are IP69 water and dust resistance, an AI system, gesture control using the front camera, durable Kunlun glass and satellite communication. The fingerprint scanner is, however, on the side, built into the power button.

No Malaysian release date yet

Besides that, the device is sold at a starting price of RMB4199 (~RM2465) in Obsidian Black, Feather White, and Gold & Silver Brocade colour options. Currently, there are no further details or the Malaysia release date for the phone. So, we should wait for more announcements from HUAWEI Malaysia.
