OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra teased with Dual Mode Gaming Controller ahead of launch

Last week, we reported that OnePlus has been working on a gaming console device. While this gaming device from the thumbnail looks like it, it turns out to be an entirely different accessory. In fact, OnePlus is pairing the dedicated gaming accessory designed for its next performance-focused smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra.

The OnePlus Gun God Gaming Controller

The upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will debut alongside the OnePlus Gun God Gaming Controller, introducing what the company describes as a dual form “Gun God” experience. On its own, the phone is positioned as a lightweight, ready-to-play gaming device. When paired with the controller, it transforms into a more immersive handheld console setup aimed at delivering a fuller gaming experience.

OnePlus is focusing heavily on FPS gameplay, where complex actions such as aiming, peeking, switching weapons, recoil control, and tactical movement can often overwhelm touchscreen controls. The new controller introduces a hybrid input system that combines touch with four additional physical buttons. This effectively adds four more fingers into gameplay, making it easier for two-finger players to transition into more advanced control styles, while giving experienced players greater precision for executing complex moves and combinations.

The setup is being positioned for popular mobile FPS titles like Delta Force, PUBG Mobile, and Valorant Mobile. OnePlus also highlights that pro-level streamers have shared recommended button layouts, allowing players to adopt tested configurations that prioritise speed and accuracy right out of the box.

Promotions and Launch Offers Revealed

Ahead of launch, OnePlus is rolling out a pre-purchase benefits package. Customers who buy the bundle and purchase the device during its first sale period can unlock perks worth 426 yuan (~RM247). These include a 20W power bank, extended warranty coverage, and additional device protection. Students are also eligible for a bonus backpack valued at 199 yuan (~RM115).

Official Launch Set for 28 April
