Huawei returns to the top DxOMark smartphone camera position with the Pura 80 Ultra at 175

The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra was recently announced as achieving the highest smartphone camera rank in DxOMark. The folks at DxOMark say that the Pura 80 Ultra provides more consistent results for vivid colours, sharp details and natural exposure. 

Achieving a score of 175, the Huawei Pura80 Ultra also delivered impressive performance in ultra-wide, telephoto zoom and smooth steady videos. DxOMark also remarked that it takes good portrait shots with the only weakness being minor colour and brightness shifts under the more challenging lighting conditions.

Anyone need a tech specs and features refresher?

For those who don’t know, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra comes equipped with a switchable dual telephoto system that can switch between 3.7x (50MP) to 9.4x (12.5MP) optical zoom or back, all on the same 1/1.28-inch sensor. 

Other camera tech specs include a 50MP 1-inch ultra-high dynamic sensor with a variable aperture of F1.6 to F4.0 and 16EV dynamic range. 

Malaysia price and availability

Available in Golden Black and Prestige Gold, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra has a Malaysia price of RM6599. It still comes with a few more freebies such as an RM500 exclusive voucher, Mystery box, Huawei Care and more.
