  • It is available with a flat discount of Rs 9,000 discount, which is applicable on all variants

Samsung appears to be doubling down on its pricing strategy in India. After recently reducing the price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the company has now announced a flat Rs 9,000 discount on its latest flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. While Samsung hasn’t clarified whether this is a limited-period deal or a permanent revision, the updated pricing is already visible on the official Samsung India website, with no terms or conditions attached. The straight price drop makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra more accessible, effectively bringing its starting price in line with the launch price of the previous-generation Galaxy S25 Ultra. This could make the latest model a more appealing option for buyers considering a premium upgrade.

-12GB RAM + 512GB storage: Rs 1,50,999

-16GB RAM + 1TB storage: Rs 1,80,999

The revised prices are already live on Samsung's official website, and notably, there are no bundled bank offers on this platform at the moment. However, buyers exploring other retail options will find additional saving options. Vijay Sales, for instance, is offering the same Rs 9,000 flat discount along with extra bank-based offers. HSBC credit card users can get up to Rs 6,000 off on EMI transactions, while HDFC and RBL cardholders can avail discounts of Rs 4,500 and Rs 4,000, respectively.

With these combined offers, the effective price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra comes closer to the current retail pricing of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The older model is currently listed at around Rs 1,14,999 for the base variant on Vijay Sales.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Key specifications

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 60W wired charging support. The camera system includes a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 10MP telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera, along with a 12MP front shooter.

The device continues to offer S Pen support, runs on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, and includes Galaxy AI features along with a new privacy display option. Samsung is also promising up to seven years of OS and security updates.

Is it worth buying now?

With the latest price cut, the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts to look like a stronger value proposition. It brings upgrades over the S25 Ultra, including a newer chipset with better AI handling, faster charging, a slightly slimmer design, and refinements to the camera system, particularly in the main and zoom sensors. The addition of a privacy display feature also sets it apart.

For comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 6.8-inch AMOLED QHD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, quad-camera setup with dual telephoto lenses, 8K video recording, and S Pen support. While still a capable flagship, the narrowed price gap now makes the S26 Ultra a more compelling pick for those looking for the latest hardware and longer software support.
