Leaks have also suggested a speculative pricing for the Pixel 9a. The time of launch has yet to be revealed but, as is usual, Google will likely make the announcement sometime by late evening tomorrow. Ahead of that, let’s have a look at everything we know about the Pixel 9a so far.

Google Pixel 9a: Expected India price

The Google Pixel 9a is expected to be priced around $499 (approximately Rs 43,100) for the 128GB variant in the US, $599 (around Rs 51,800) for the 256GB model. While the base model retains the same price as the Pixel 8a, the higher storage option sees a $40 (about Rs 3,400) increase.

The pricing of the Pixel 9a and its features are going to make a big difference. Ahead of the launch, the Pixel 8a and Pixel 8a have got a massive price cut on Flipkart with discounts of up to Rs 30,000.

For context, the Pixel 8a is selling under Rs 40,000 right now, and the Pixel 8 is priced under Rs 50,000. Both these deals are available on Flipkart and were valid at the time of writing the story.

Google Pixel 9a: What to expect

Based on the leaks in the past, the Google Pixel 9a seems quite promising. It is expected to sport a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

As for design, it is expected to look similar to the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro. This means it will feature rounded edges, a larger front-facing camera, and antenna lines along the frame.

The Pixel 9a is likely to run on Google’s own Tensor G4 chipset, which will apparently be coupled with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options up to 256GB. Google may also include the Titan M2 chip for added security.

In the camera department, rumours point to a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, appealing to photography enthusiasts. Battery performance could also improve, with a 5,100mAh battery supporting 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging.

The Pixel 9a is also expected to offer an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Colour choices may include Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain for the 128GB model, while the 256GB variant could be limited to Iris and Obsidian.
