Popular Pakistani TV actor Danish Taimoor has upset the internet after his recent controversial take on the concept of polygamy. Taimoor, who is married to actor Ayeza, recently said that he has been given the right to marry four times by god.

Speaking during an appearance on a national channel, the actor said that he has been given the permission by his faith to marry multiple times, as his wife Ayeza sat nodding beside him.

Taimoor also said that he doesn't want to marry anyone because, "for now", he is happy in his relationship.

This has, predictably, ruffled some feathers online. Many users denounced such statements, with one of them writing, "Girl, run!” Another mentioned, "People being shocked that Danish Taimoor, who plays arrogant, toxic regressive roles, is in fact, arrogant, toxic and regressive (sic)."

Another person mentioned, "Ayeza Khan ko 'filhaal' koi aur dhoond lena chahye imo (Ayeza Khan should find someone else 'for now')."

Taimoor has been acting since 2005. He is known for appearing in projects such as Rehaai (2013), Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai (2018-2019), Deewangi (2019-2020), among others.
