Apple has recently launched the MacBook Pro with M5 chip and the laptop costs Rs 1,69,900 for the base 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD storage model (in India). Now, a report from a prominent source has mentioned that Apple will launch its first ever touchscreen MacBook in 2026 and it will be powered by next-generation M6 chips.

According to the latest report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the 2026 model of MacBook Pros will have OLED display with touch functionality. The upcoming laptops are codenamed K114 and K116 and they will use high-end screens that are offered in iPhones and iPad Pros. The laptops are expected to offer full keyboard along with trackpad. This will help users to choose between touch-input and keyboard input.

The report has also mentioned that Apple will move to punch-hole design from the notch design that is currently present. Additionally there will be stronger hinges along with display hardware for preventing screen movement during touch input.

As multiple upgrades are expected on 2026 MacBook Pros, the pricing might go up. This decision might be a good move for the company as other laptop manufacturer already offer touch screen laptops in their offering. We might get more details about the specs about the upcoming MacBook Pro.
