Grand Theft Auto 6 delayed again, again

On the one hand, I understand the immense pressure that Rockstar developers must be under to deliver a follow-up to the second-best-selling game of all time. On the other hand, if 15 years and a functionally unlimited budget aren't enough to get Grand Theft Auto 6 out the door, I fear nothing will be.

We all knew it was coming, no matter how many times Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick assured us that, no, really, GTA 6 was coming out in 2025 — pinky promise. In May, the game was delayed to mid-2026, and just today, Rockstar amended that to late 2026. GTA 6 will now (allegedly) release on November 19, 2026 — more than a year away at the time of writing. One has to wonder what the hell they've been doing over there all this time.

Not even a trailer as a consolation prize or anything. Just cold disappointment. Time to replay Red Dead Redemption 2 for the 20th time, I guess.
