JCO Injured in ongoing Gudar Kulgam encounter

Kulgam, Sept 08: An Army’s JCO was injured after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the forest area of Gudar in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.

Officials said that during the exchange of fire, one Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) sustained injuries. He was immediately evacuated to hospital for treatment.

They said the operation was launched following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

The firefight is ongoing, and searches are underway to track down the hiding terrorists. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
