Xbox Cloud Gaming arrives on another TV brand in 2025

Xbox Game Pass is heading to more devices in 2025, as Microsoft has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to LG TVs via LG's Gaming Portal later this year.

While we're still waiting to find out which games are heading to Game Pass this month, we do know that we'll have even more ways to access them later this year, as Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming to LG TVs in 2025. Much like Samsung owners, players with LG TVs will soon be able to play the best Game Pass games directly via an app on their TV.

LG TVs are getting Xbox Game Pass via Gaming Portal

• Gaming Portal on LG TVs will get an Xbox app in 2025
• Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be available via Xbox Cloud Gaming
• You'll be able to stream your own games via the same app

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox app will arrive on LG TVs via Gaming Portal later this year. Much like the service on Samsung TVs, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play the Xbox Game Pass library directly on their TV without any additional hardware — aside from a Bluetooth controller — via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Interestingly, not only will Xbox Game Pass be playable via the LG Xbox app, but you'll also be able to stream your own games as well. Last year, Microsoft finally started letting us play some of our owned games via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Although it is a short list of compatible games right now, the feature will hopefully expand to more titles throughout this year, making this a great point of entry for new players who maybe don't own an Xbox.

Whether you want to play your own games or access the Xbox Game Pass library on LG TVs, you're going to need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, as it's currently the only Game Pass tier that includes Xbox Cloud Gaming. With so many upcoming Game Pass games on the horizon for 2025, including first-party titles like Avowed, Fable, Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and The Outer Worlds 2, it's looking like a solid year for Xbox fans.
