Asus Zenbook 14 (UX3405CA) is a 2.8 pound laptop with a 14 inch OLED display and an Intel 200H processor

The new Asus Zenbook 14 (UX3405CA) is a 14 inch thin and light laptop that measures less than 0.6 inches thick and weighs 2.82 pounds. But it has a reasonably large 75 Wh battery and support for up to a 45-watt Intel Core Ultra 9 285H Arrow Lake-H processor.

Asus says its new Intel-powered laptop should be available in the first quarter of 2025 with prices starting at around $1000. And, like all Zenbook-branded notebooks released in the past few years, all versions of this laptop will feature OLED displays. But some models have better display specs than others.

That’s because the entry-level $1000 configuration has a 1920 x 1200 pixel OLED display with a 60 Hz refresh rate, but higher-priced models that will sell for around $1300 have 2880 x 1800 pixel, 120 Hz displays.

All models include features like dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and 65W USB Type-C chargers. And they all owe their lightweight design to a chassis made from a combination of aluminum and magnesium alloy.

But the entry-level model has an Intel Core Ultra 7 265H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, while the higher-priced versions have Core Ultra 9 285H chips, 32GB of memory, and 1TB of storage.

Since the laptop uses LPDDR5x onboard memory, the RAM is not user upgradeable. But users can remove and replace the SSD, which fits into an M.2 2280 socket.

Asus is also introducing an AMD-powered version of the laptop called the Zenbook (UM3406KA) featuring a Ryzen AI 7 350 processor and a $1000 starting price.
