ChatGPT Go subscription rolls out worldwide at $8, but it'll show you ads
by Mayank Parmar · BleepingComputerOpenAI's $8 ChatGPT Go subscription, which gives you 10x more messages, is now available in the United States and other regions.
With ChatGPT Go, you can get 10x more messages, file uploads, and image creation than the free tier.
However, ChatGPT doesn't give you access to the advanced 'thinking' or 'reasoning models,' so you can chat with no limits on GPT‑5.2 Instant.
"ChatGPT Go is designed for people who want expanded access to our latest model, GPT‑5.2 Instant, at a lower price point—more messages, more uploads, and more image creation," OpenAI noted in a press release.
In addition, the Go subscription offers longer memory and context window, so ChatGPT can now remember more about you and reference your conversations.
However, ChatGPT Plus remains the best subscription, as it gives you access to advanced models and does not have ads.
"Compared to Go, Plus includes higher limits for messages, file uploads, memory, and context, so ChatGPT can remember more details from past conversations and support longer, more continuous workflows," OpenAI explained.
If you're looking for the 'unlimited' experience with the highest level of reasoning, GPT Pro, which costs $200, is your best bet.

OpenAI says these ads won't influence GPT answers, but if you want to turn off ads, upgrade to $20 GPT Plus or $200 GPT Pro.
