iPhone 18 Pro Max Expected to Debut on September 9; What’s New, Expected Price
by Northlines · NorthlinesNEW DELHI: Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro Max at its “Surprise and shine” event on September 9, with reports pointing to upgrades in the camera, battery and display while retaining much of the existing design.
The company has confirmed the event but has not officially disclosed the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s price, specifications or features. The reported details are based on leaks and reports and could change before the official launch.
The overall design is expected to remain similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, though Apple could introduce a more seamless rear design with less visible distinction between the back panel and frame. The phone could also become slightly thicker and heavier due to a larger battery.
The Pro Max is expected to retain a 6.9-inch display, while the Dynamic Island could become smaller, potentially providing additional screen space at the top.
The camera system could receive a major upgrade, with reports suggesting that the 48-megapixel main camera may feature a variable aperture. The technology could allow the camera to regulate the amount of light entering the lens, potentially improving photography across different lighting conditions.
The device is also expected to feature a larger battery of around 5,100–5,200mAh, nearly 10 per cent larger than its predecessor, according to reports.
Other expected features include Apple’s A20 Pro chip, a new C2 modem and new colour options such as Dark Cherry and Light Blue.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is reportedly expected to start at around Rs 1,54,900 in India, while some estimates put the price closer to Rs 1.69 lakh. Apple is expected to announce the final pricing at the event, scheduled for September 9 at 10:30 PM IST. (Agencies)
