Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 200 MP telephoto camera

by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduXiaomi on Thursday (February 27, 2025) launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile processor and Leica tuned camera set up. The new Xiaomi 15 Ultra succeeds the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launched last year.
The Chinese smartphone maker is likely to showcase the Xiaomi 15 Ultra at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, and it is expected to arrive in India in March.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.73 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 3,200 nits of peak brightness. It supports Dolby Vision too.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra holds a 6,000 mAh battery supported by a 90 W charger.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite powered phone offers up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It operates on HyperOS 2 based upon Android 15.
The camera-centric Xiaomi 15 Ultra sports a main 50 MP Leica 1-inch sensor, 200 MP Super telephoto lens, a 50 MP floating telephoto lens and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. It has a 32 MP front camera.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at CNY 6,499 (around ₹78,000) for the 12 GB/256 GB model. The 16 GB/ 512 GB unit costs CNY 6,999 (around ₹84,000) while the 16 GB/1 TB variant retails at CNY 7,799 (around ₹93,000).
Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the 15 Ultra’s India launch date. The pricing and specifications, especially memory variants, may vary when it comes down here.
