Sanjay Kumar Srivastava takes charge as SCR GM

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS), has taken charge as the General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR).

He belongs to the 1988 batch of Indian Railway Engineering Service (IRSE). Prior to this posting, he was holding the post of General Manager, Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE). He was instrumental in implementing various technological advancements and policies related to Civil Engineering.

With an illustrious career spanning at RDSO, RITES, and the Railway Board, he has contributed significantly to railway infrastructure, metro projects, and advanced rail technologies, cementing his leadership credentials.

During his tenure as Executive Director (Infra-1) at RDSO, he contributed to developing advanced rail technologies, including the 60kg R350HT grade rails, SRT/DRT with nine probes and B-Scan facilities, and Phased Array USFD for Flash Butt joints. His collaborations with M&C Directorate and Bhilai Steel Plant were pivotal.

An alumnus of IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi, Mr. Srivastava also holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, USA. With a career spanning roles across Indian Railways, including as Divisional Railway Manager, Bikaner, he has a profound understanding of engineering, project management, and general administration.
