OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R launched in India: Price, features, availability

The new OnePlus 13 series runs on Qualcomm processors and will have gen AI features like intelligent search and AI-powered photography tools.

OnePlus on Tuesday (January 7, 2025) launched the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R during its winter launch event into the premium segment smartphone market in India. The new OnePlus 13 series runs on Qualcomm processors and will have gen AI features like intelligent search and AI-powered photography tools.

With the OnePlus 13, the Chinese smartphone maker also introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the first time in India in its portfolio.

Both the devices, OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, will have 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates.

OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13 has a 6.82 inch LTPO 4.1 QHD+ display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a variable refresh rate between 1-120 Hz.

The OnePlus 13 is IP68 and IP69 rated for water protection.

OnePlus has used a 6,000 mAh battery along with a 100 W charger included in the box. It also supports 50 W wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13 comes with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with up to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The phone operates on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 out of the box.

OnePlus 13 comes with Hasselblad-tuned camera with a 50 MP main Sony Lyt 808 sensor, backed by another 50 MP Sony Lyt 600 telephoto camera with 3x zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide Samsung’s sensor. OnePlus 13 has a 32 MP Sony IMX615 sensor at front.

The OnePlus 13 starts at ₹69,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB. The 16 GB/512 GB model will sell for ₹76,999 and the 24 GB/1 TB variant at ₹89,999.

It will sell in Black Eclipse, Arctic Dawn, and Midnight Ocean colours, on Amazon, OnePlus’s website, OnePlus stores and leading retail stores.

OnePlus 13R

The younger sibling in the series, OnePlus 13R has a 6.78 inch ProXDR display with a same range of refresh rate and peak brightness as the OnePlus 13. However, the OnePlus 13R is IP65 rated.

OnePlus 13R too holds a 6,000 mAh battery but with an 80 W charger included in the box.

The OnePlus 13R runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The OS remains the same.

OnePlus 13R features a 50 MP main Sony Lyt 700 sensor, along with an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto lens. It has a 16 MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus 13R will be available at ₹42,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB variant, while the 16 GB/512 GB model will sell for ₹49,999. It ships in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail colours.
