Poco X7 Pro 5G and Poco X7 5G launched with MediaTek processors and 20 MP front camera

The Chinese smartphone brand also introduced Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as its new brand ambassador

Poco on Thursday (January 9, 2025) launched the X7 series smartphones in India having Poco X7 5G and Poco X7 Pro 5G for the mid segment buyers. There are gen AI features as well in the X7 5G series like notes, summary, record, erase, and interpreter.

The Chinese smartphone brand also introduced Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as its new brand ambassador.

The Poco X7 Pro 5G has a 6.73-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. It is being protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Meanwhile, the Poco X7 5G features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED 3D display, with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. It gets Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Poco X7 Pro 5G ships with a 6,550 mAh battery supported by a 90 W charger inside the box. The X7 uses a 5,500 mAh cell on a 45 W charger.

The Poco X7 Pro runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra whereas the Poco X7 has got MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset. Both the phones operates on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Poco will give 3 years OS and 4 years of security updates.

Both, Poco X7 Pro 5G and Poco X7 5G sports 50 MP main Sony LYT-600 camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens. Both have a 20 MP front camera.

Both the phones are IP66, IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water protection.

The Poco X7 5G starts at ₹21,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant, while the 8 GB/256 GB variant will sell at ₹23,999. It comes in Cosmic Silver, Glacier Green and Poco Yellow shades. It goes on sale starting January 17 on Flipkart.

The Poco X7 Pro 5G begins at ₹26,999 for 8 GB/256 GB model. The 12 GB/256 GB variant costs ₹28,999. It sells in Nebula Green, Obsidian Black and Poco Yellow colours, starting January 14 on Flipkart.
