Meta is raising prices on Quest 3 VR headsets
The Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S are getting more expensive this week.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsMeta has announced that the newest line of its Quest VR headsets are getting price hikes. The Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S will see their prices increased this weekend.
Meta published a blog to announce the upcoming price increases. Effective Sunday, April 19, 2026, here are the new prices for the Quest 3 headsets:
- Meta Quest 3S (128 GB): $349.99
- Meta Quest 3S (256 GB): $449.99
- Meta Quest 3 (512 GB): $599.99
The Quest 3S models are getting $50 price increases, while the Quest 3 will go up by $100.
Meta cites the rising prices of memory chips as the cause of the decision. Over the past year, we’ve seen other hardware, like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, get more expensive as a result of component shortages.
Meta says that these changes will also impact refurbished units, though all Meta Quest accessories will remain at the same price. I reviewed the base Quest 3 in 2023 and was quite impressed with the wireless VR device.
