Samsung to discontinue $2,899 Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone three months after release
Reports suggest that Samsung will cease sales of the TriFold after it clears its current inventory.

World of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold’s discontinuation comes from a report at Bloomberg, which spoke to sources familiar with the matter. According to Bloomberg, Korea is set to cease sales of the device, and the United States will sell through its remaining inventory. The sales page for the Galaxy Z TriFold on Samsung’s website already says that the device is “Sold Out,” but offers the option to find a store with inventory in stock.
Samsung introduced consumers to the Galaxy Z TriFold in the United States in January 2026, with the device going on sale soon after. It retailed at a price of $2,899 USD, but introduced three-way foldable technology into Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone ecosystem.
Unfortunately, for all of its bells and whistles, the Galaxy Z TriFold doesn’t seem to be doing enough to stay in rotation.
